Privacy Policy

1. What this covers

This Privacy Policy explains how Construum ("Construum," "we," "us," or "our") handles personal information collected through this website and through the Construum Text Assistant, our text messaging program for Construum account holders (section 5). Construum is construction management software for contractors. When the Construum app opens to customers, it will have its own privacy policy, which we will post here before then.

2. Information we collect

What you send us. If you request access, join the waitlist, book a demo or contact us, we collect the information you enter, such as your name, email address, phone number, company name, trade, and your message.

What's collected automatically. Like any website, the servers that deliver this site receive basic technical information when you visit: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages requested, and the time. We use it only to deliver the site, keep it secure and fix problems.

We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or analytics that follow you across other websites.

3. How we use it

We use the information you send us to:

• answer your questions and requests;
• give you access to Construum when it's ready, and tell you about it;
• send you news about Construum, if you asked to hear from us. You can unsubscribe at any time with the link in any email; and
• keep the website secure and comply with the law.

4. How we share it

We share personal information only:

• with service providers who run this website and our email for us, and only so they can provide that service;
• for legal reasons, when the law or a valid legal process requires it, or to protect the rights, safety or property of others or Construum; and
• if our business changes hands, as part of a merger, financing, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this policy.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising.

5. Text messages

If you enroll in the Construum Text Assistant from your Construum account settings, we collect your mobile number, your consent (when you gave it, and the wording you agreed to), the messages you send us and our replies, any receipt photos you text us, and delivery and opt out records. We use them only to run the Text Assistant for your account: to verify your phone, answer your requests, save the drafts you ask for, and honor STOP and HELP. To understand what you ask and to read receipt photos, the text of your message and the photo are processed by our AI provider, Google, through the Gemini API; it processes them only to provide that service to us and is not permitted to use them to train its models. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

No mobile information will be sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, except with the providers that deliver the messages for us (Twilio), who may use it only to deliver them, or when the law requires it.

6. How long we keep it

We keep what you send us for as long as we need it to answer you and to give you access when Construum is ready, or until you ask us to delete it. Text Assistant messages and consent records are kept while your phone is connected, and consent and opt out records afterwards as proof of them. Server logs are kept for a limited time.

7. Your choices and rights

You can ask us what personal information we have about you, get a copy, correct it, or delete it, and you can unsubscribe from our emails at any time. Depending on where you live, the law may give you these rights; we honor them for everyone.

To make a request, email construum@gmail.com with "Privacy Request" in the subject line. We will answer within 45 days. If we decline a request, reply with "Privacy Appeal" and we will review it. We will not treat you differently for making a request.

This website does not respond to Do Not Track signals because it does not track you across websites.

8. Security

We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), to protect the information you send us. No website is perfectly secure.

9. Children

This website is for businesses and adults. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Where information is processed

Construum is based in the United States, and the information you send us is stored and processed in the United States.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. We will post the new version here with a new effective date.
